Who we are

Apple Buy Guide (applebuyguide.com) is operated by --. We are an independent Apple news curator: we collect headlines and short excerpts from public RSS feeds and link every story to its original publisher. You can contact us at webmaster@applebuyguide.com.

What data we process

• Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type, and requested pages for security and troubleshooting. These logs are automatically rotated.
• Outbound click statistics. When you click through to an original article, we record the article and time. Your IP address is stored only as an irreversible hash, and click records are deleted after 90 days.
• Aggregate visit statistics. We count page visits on our own server without cookies. Each visit is recorded under irreversible hashes derived from your network (not your full IP address) and your browser type: one that changes every day, used to count daily visitors, and one that changes every 90 days, used only to avoid counting the same reader repeatedly in a monthly total. Neither can be reversed into an IP address or used to identify you, and no cookie is involved. Raw records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are stored on our own server so we can read and reply to them. They are never shared, never used for marketing, and we delete them once they are dealt with.
• Push notifications (optional). If you enable notifications via the bell icon, your browser gives us an anonymous push endpoint, which we store to deliver notifications. It contains no personal information, and you can unsubscribe anytime via the same bell or your browser settings — expired subscriptions are removed automatically.
• Your cookie preference. Stored in a cookie so we don't ask you again.

We do not require accounts and we do not sell personal data.

Essential (always on):

• abg_consent — remembers your cookie choice (180 days)
• A theme preference (light/dark) stored in your browser's local storage
• abg_lang — remembers your chosen news language (1 year)

Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity may set cookies to help us understand how the site is used. IP addresses are processed by these providers according to their own policies.

Advertising (only with your consent): we may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Third-party content

Article images may be loaded directly from the original publisher's servers, which means those servers see your IP address, as they would if you visited the publisher directly. Every article page links out to the original publisher, whose own privacy policy applies once you leave our site.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example when advertising is enabled. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
